Art for the Table

Glass artist, Therese Baisinger, has been designing unique fused art glass pieces for nearly 20 years. Her work is dramatic, sophisticated and sometimes whimsical, and most of her pieces — including her stunning tabletop collections, decorative centerpieces, serving accessories, and creative contemporary lighting — are also durable and functional.

Ms. Baisinger combines ancient glassmaking techniques as well as modern methods of her own innovation in creating her signature glasswork. The rich hues and vibrant color combinations of fused glass are created through the alchemy of multiple layers of colored glass and glass powders applied sheets of glass. The glass is then heated in a kiln to fuse the design elements and patterns. The resulting fused glass is then heated again, using molds or forms, just until the glass “slumps” to the shape of the mold.

Functional and Architectural Art

In addition to tableware designs and decorative accessories, Baisinger Studio consults with architects and interior designers to create custom lighting features (such as sconces, chandeliers, light panels, etc.) or one of a kind bathroom bowl vessel sinks or artisan accent tiles to complement and enhance any commercial or residential installation.
